PORT JERSEY LOGISTICS PARTNERS WITH BURN ADVOCATES NETWORK AND OTHERS TO AID HAITI EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS

(Monroe Township, NJ) – Port Jersey Logistics, a leading public warehousing and distribution company, announced its partnership with the Burn Advocates Network Ltd. and Royal Caribbean Cruises to aid Haiti relief efforts following the January 12th earthquake that devastated the Caribbean country.

The Monroe, NJ logistics company transported a total of 56,000 pounds of medical supplies to the Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne, NJ on February 5th, free of charge. The forty one pallets of crutches, canes and other orthopedic supplies donated by Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ, were then shipped via Royal Caribbean, to Labadee, Haiti – a city 80 miles outside Port au Prince – and then will be transported to “For Haiti with Love,” the only burn center in Haiti, which is located five miles outside Port au Prince.

“The devastation caused by the recent earthquake in Haiti is unimaginable,” said Robert Russo, President of Port Jersey Logistics.  “Port Jersey is both proud and honored to be one of the many organizations working to improve, and hopefully save, the lives of those who are suffering.”
